This piece depicts my grandma’s response to difficulty–she looks at life through “rose-colored glasses.” Using an old photograph of my grandma as a reference, I painted her in the middle of a chaotic storm. True to her nature, she ignores the rising sea and gazes at the pink-tinged sky instead.
